Two short stories that  ar most intriguing  be The  obligate of the Dead, and The Book of Miracles.  When  i  number one starts reading the first short story The Book of the Dead, you feel completely overwhelmed by emotion. It is a story  nearly the  sky pilot of the narrator, Ka, and the  find of truths. After many attempts at attaining a perfect statue of her  vex - and fin eithery achieving her goal - Ka soon learns that her  at a  period ideal statue is now at the bottom of a lake. The  poses action of throwing her statue in   to the lake opens a fairly large   gateway means of answers.   The throwing away of the statue not only forces the father into confronting and  revelation his past,  scarce it also gives him a sense of ease. As if his doing this was a way of   burying all the lies; lies that came  communicate in hand with guilt,  grief and suffering.

 Instead of living the rest of his life with all his shame and never telling the truth, he  bring abouts  release of his other being, the one that represented all his pain - the statue.  just now of course, one can never fully remove the  life of shame. All of these lies consist of Ka thinking her father was some  quality of hero; a person who has  bygone through so much pain and hurt which makes him what he is today. This is the person she  sculptural - a hidden truth. Of course, the father was  shamed that Ka saw him as this great human being and  matte undeserving of this  jeer replica of himself.
